John “Jack” D. Noltze, 80, of Elkhorn, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Monday, Oct. 19, 2026. He was born on Nov. 4, 1945, the son of the late Marvin and Carol (Lauters) Noltze.

Jack was united in marriage to his loving wife, Linda Noltze on Sept. 21, 1969, at St. John’s in Menominee Falls. They were married for 56 wonderful years until Linda’s passing in June of 2026. Together they created a beautiful family and life. He graduated from Elkhorn Area High School. He went into Road Construction and worked for B.R. Amon & Sons as a plant manager, then eventually retired in 2005.

Jack was the handy go to man. He always knew what to do and was very good with engines and welding. He was a great mechanic who always seemed to have the answer. He loved to garden and travel, listening to country music and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also loved to golf, go metal detecting and enjoyed rock collecting. He was a very loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be missed dearly.

Jack is survived by his children, Amy (Roger) Bates and Chad Noltze; grandchildren, Maelin Noltze and Matthew (Taylor) Bates; great grandchild, Winry Bates; nieces and nephews and other beloved family members.

Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Linda; parents, Marvin and Carol Noltze; brothers, Robert and James Noltze; paternal grandparents, Alfred and Hilda Noltze and maternal grandparents, Elizabeth and Charles Lauters.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home and Crematory of Elkhorn is honored to take care of the Noltze family. Online condolences can be made at www.haaselockwoodfhs.com.
