Cynthia Ann May, of Elkhorn, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2026, at the age of 61. Cynthia was born on Nov. 2, 1964, in Chippewa Falls, the daughter of the late Gerald and Margaret (Van Zutphen) May.

She loved spending time with her children, family and friends. She enjoyed being outdoors, cheering on the Green Bay Packers, playing card games and traveling to Florida. She enjoyed all the little and big things in life. Cynthia was known to be strong-willed, caring, thoughtful, loving, protective and strong in her faith. She loved with her entire heart and always put her family above anything else. Cynthia battled bravely and courageously during her 22-month long fight against cancer and is now reunited with her loving son, Trenton, who passed away in October of 2025. Cynthia’s warm and loving personality will be deeply missed.

Cynthia is survived by her loving daughter, Jamie (Josh) Baumann; her siblings, Jeff (Kathy) May, Julie (Dean) Jakubowicz and Angela Jacoby; her lifelong friend who she considered a sister, Lee Ann Jentsch-Siskind and many beloved nieces and nephews.
