William H. “Jake” Jacobs, 81, of Burlington, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 17, 2026.
Born in Burlington on Feb. 23, 1945, he was the son of Herbert W. and Inez (nee Himebauch) Jacobs. Jake was a lifelong resident of Burlington and a graduate of Burlington High School, class of 1964. After graduation he went on to proudly operate Jakes Electric in Burlington.
Jake was an avid Packers fan and enjoyed fishing and growing vegetables in his garden. He was a volunteer firefighter with the Town of Burlington Fire Department and was a member of Company 2 in Bohners Lake for 25 years until his retirement.
Jacob is survived by his daughter Keri (David) Traughber; two grandchildren; his brother Tom and sister Peggy (Robert) Clark. He is further survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death are his parents, Herbert and Inez, brother Jim and sister-in-law Sharlene.
The family would like to thank Legacy Hospice nurses and staff as well as Kerry Barutha for all their care and concern shown for Jake.
A private burial will take place at a later date.
