Robert C. Loefer, 95, of Eagle, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Aug. 27, 2026 at AngelsGraceHospice in Oconomowoc.

Bob was born on July 20, 1931 on the family farm in Eagle. He was the son of Ernest and Hazel (Sales) Loefer. He graduated from Palmyra High School. On Feb. 18, 1967, Bob was united in marriage to Carol M. Davis in Whitewater and the two went on to enjoy 59 years of marriage together. Bob and Carol were blessed with four children, Yvonne, Michael, Michele and Ernest. Bob worked as a farmer for the majority of his working career. He was proud of his farming heritage and enjoyed his long career. Bob will be remembered for his easy-going personality. He had a sharp mind and enjoyed discussing history, playing cards, watching a good Western and bowling. He was a good man and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Bob is survived by: his wife, Carol (Palmyra’s corn lady) Loefer of Eagle; his two daughters, Yvonne Loefer of Mukwonago, and Michele (Ray) Goldbach of Palmyra; his grandson, Corey (Alexandra) Hackbarth of North Carolina; and his two great-grandchildren, Harper and Cruz. He is further survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; his sons, Michael and Ernest Loefer; his sister, Betty Strike, and his son-in-law Randy Moots.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 4, 2026 at the Gibson Family Funeral Home, 499 Elkhorn Road, Eagle. Visitation will take place from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Bob will be laid to rest in Oak Knoll Cemetery in Mukwonago immediately following the service.
