Jane Peck, 80, of Elkhorn, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, Sept. 10, 2026.

Jane was born on Dec. 25, 1945, in Burlington, the daughter of the late Gene and Alice (Glutz) Katzman. She was united in marriage to Harvey H. Peck, and together they shared 44 years of marriage until his passing on Dec. 15, 2011. Jane graduated from East Troy High School with the Class of 1964 and remained a proud and active alumna throughout her life.

Jane had a warm and generous spirit. She found joy caring for her flowers and plants, as well as baking for family and friends who gathered around her table. She was equally happy with a deck of cards in hand, delighting in the laughter and friendly competition of game days with her friends. Jane was dedicated to helping others, generously giving her time to her church, her library, the German Settlement Cemetery, and the East Troy High School Alumni Scholarship Fund. She extended particular compassion to those who needed it most, assisting wards of the state through guardianship. Through it all, Jane was, first and foremost, a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

Jane’s memory will be carried forward by her two children, Renee (Brian Roberts) Peck and Douglas (Amy) Peck; and by her five grandchildren, Katie and Anna Kopplin, and Ryan, Eric, and Mason Peck, who brought her great pride and joy. She is also survived by her brother, Tom (Ginger) Katzman, and her sister-in-law, Darlene Katzman. Jane was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harvey, her parents, and four siblings, Nancy Katzman, Patricia (Richard) Muehlbauer, Richard Katzman, and William Katzman.

Memorial Service will be at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 25, 2026, at Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Homes, 730 N. Wisconsin St., Elkhorn. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until service time. Private Family Inurnment will be at German Settlement Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jane’s name may be directed to the Elkhorn Food Pantry, 14 W Geneva St., Elkhorn, or the Friends of Matheson Memorial Library, 101 N. Wisconsin St., Elkhorn.
