Olgerts Stuberovskis passed away peacefully in his home, on Aug. 1, 2026 at the age of 101, just a couple months shy of his 102 birthday. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Maija (nee Miglis) Stuberovskis; sisters Aina Splite of New Zealand and Arija Robinson of Leverett, Massachusetts; as well as his parents, Zanis and Lillija Stuberovskis, also of Leverett, Massachusetts.
Olgertx is survived by his five children, Nora (Vince) Hirth, Inta (Benjamin) Jurcik, and Peter, Erik and Sarma Stuberovskis. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Nina and Viktor Hirth, and Amalija and Emils Jurcik; nephews Chris (Kate) Robinson, Harold Robinson, Karlis, Janis, and Peter (Ivette) Miglis of Australia, and Janis Splite of New Zealand; niece Ira Redman of New Zealand; and by countless friends in the Latvian communities of Arizona, New York, and Australia.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, Aug. 22, 2026, at The Latvian Ev. Lutheran Church, 1853 N.75th St., Wauwatosa, at 11 a.m., followed by the memorial service at 12 noon. Inurnment to be held on Sept. 19, 2026, at the Latvian Memorial Park Cemetery, 414 Bloomer Rd, Tannersville, New York.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to either the Latvian Ev. Lutheran Holy Trinity Church in Wauwatosa or to Latvian Ev Lutheran Church Children’s Camp, “Nometne” in New York (draudze.squarespace.com).
