Katherine L. “Katie” Misik, 76, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, May 7, 2026.

Born in Burlington, on March 20, 1950, Katie was the daughter of Daniel and Gretchen (Hanauska) Noonan. She grew up in Burlington where she attended St. Mary Grade School, and graduated from St. Mary High School, class of 1968.

On Sept. 12, 1970 she was united in marriage to Edward Misik. When Katie was three years old, she was outside playing with her sister Barb while Ed was walking past their house and stopped to play with them. He did this on a regular basis until his family moved to a different home and they lost contact.  But at one time a friend asked him if he would be interested in going on a blind date.  He said YES, and that was how he connected with Katie again. The rest is history.  Ed was five and Katie was three, and they were meant to be.  They spent 55 years, 7 months and 26 days making memories while raising their children. After retirement they traveled between Wisconsin and Florida.

Katie worked in different office jobs over the years, ending her working life at Aurora Health Center in Delavan.  She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Katie is survived by her husband, Ed; son, Jason (Hannah): daughter, Kristin (Matt); granddaughters, Lakely and Jolie; grandson, Harvey; sister Barb (Ron) Cone, along with nieces, Jennifer and Maggie.

She was preceded in death by her parents; in-laws, William and Mary (Huljak) Misik; sister-in-law Joan; and brother-in-law Bill Koch.

Services for Katie will be held on Saturday, Aug. 29, 2026, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Burlington at 10 a.m.   Visitation will be held in Heim Hall from 9 a.m. until that time.
