Eunice J. Robers, 83, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2026, at East Troy Manor where she resided since January of 2023.

Eunice was born March 17, 1943 in Burlington to William and Minnie (Milatz) LaFollette. She was a lifelong resident of Burlington. She attended St. John’s Lutheran Grade School and obtained her GED from Gateway in 1994 at age 51.

On June 17, 1967, Eunice married LeRoy G. Robers at St. John’s. LeRoy preceded her in death on Nov. 13, 2005. Together they owned and operated the Palm Gardens tavern in downtown Burlington from 1971 to 1989. After selling their business, they served together as custodians at St. John’s Grade School from 1990 to 1999.

Eunice loved the outdoors and all animals, most especially her many pet dogs and cats. She enjoyed watching birds and insisted on always keeping her many bird feeders sufficiently filled. She and LeRoy enjoyed camping and maintaining their huge vegetable gardens and flower beds. She was a lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Burlington.

In addition to her husband, Eunice was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by cousins and LeRoy’s nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her, especially her dear friends Eileen, Marilyn and Karen.

Friends may gather to pay their respects on Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2026 from 10 to 11 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 198 Westridge Avenue, Burlington. A Christian funeral service will begin at 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation in Eunice’s name to St. John’s Lutheran Church and School.
