Arthur W. Kirchgassner, 81, passed away on Aug. 12, at his residence in Waterford.
Art was born on Nov. 25, 1944 to John and Genevieve (nee Tiedemann) Kirchgassner in Milwaukee. He married the love of his life, Mary L. Wanke, on Nov. 28, 1964. They were married over 61 years, with most of those years residing in Waterford.
Art graduated from Boys Tech High School and worked for Murray Metal Plating in Milwaukee for 17 years. He then worked for ECM Motors in Elkhorn for four years, ending his career at Rivermoor Golf Club, first as the bar manager and then in the pro shop. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed competing on the Rivermoor District Golf Team. He had two holes in one, on hole #6 at Meadowbrook Country Club and on hole #16 at Rivermoor. He also loved to play Zelda on his Nintendo.
Art is survived by his wife; four daughters, Amelia Bowey, Lana Radewan, Jane Kirchgassner and Cheryl (Glenn) Brown; six grandchildren, Jacqueline (Katie) Radewan, Justin, Amanda and Sabrina Bowey, and Alexandra and Emily Brown; as well as numerous in-laws and cousins.
Art is preceded in death by his parents, siblings John Kirchgassner and Diane Welch, five brothers-in-law and five sisters-in-law.
Memorial visitation will be held 9:30 until 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2026 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Faith Community, 305 S. 1st Street, Waterford, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11 a.m.
