Timothy John “Tim” Cossman, the Lawn Mower Man, went to Lawn Mower Heaven on July 17, 2026, at his home in Crossville Tennessee, after a long battle with lung cancer.
Tim was well known by many Delavan residents, either seeing him ride his John Deere Tractor through town or for his services of cutting grass and doing odd jobs. He loved to help people and could bring a smile to everyone. He had a one-of-a-kind sense of humor, inquisitive demeanor and if asked for his opinion (or sometimes even if you didn’t!) you were definitely going to get it. He never sugarcoated anything and somehow that honestly became one of the things people loved about him.
Tim survived by his two brothers Rick (Katie) Cossman and Randy (Robyn) Cossman; two sisters, Jean (Rich) Parks, and Dixie Bernsteen; many nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father Robert Cossman, mother Shirley Black, stepfather Robert Black, sister Pamela Cossman, brother Don (Alice) Cossman, and grandparents, Ed and Alma Wilkins, and Frank and Elva Cossman.
The family asks that any donations be made to the Cumberland Fellowship Specials Needs Program.
There will be a Celebration of Life in Wisconsin later this summer.
