Thomas M. “Tom” Zeimentz of East Troy, passed away July 1, 2026 at the age of 83.
Born in La Crosse on Dec. 14, 1942, Tom lived a life defined by service, dedication, loyalty, and love for his family.
Tom proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1964 to 1970. Following his military service, he worked at Allis-Chalmers before beginning his career that would become one of his greatest sources of pride.
In March 1982, Tom joined the Village of East Troy Police Department, where he faithfully served the community for 23 years until his retirement in June 2005. During his career, he also spent time as East Troy High School Liaison Officer, East Troy School District, and Alpine Valley Music Theater. He also loved spending time with the love of his life, his wife, Joyce, who preceded him in death in 2022. Whether they were taking a trip to Potawatomi, enjoying each other’s company, or simply sharing everyday life together, their bond was one that inspired those around them. Tom had an extraordinary love for dogs, especially his faithful companion, Jaxson “Jax”. Over the years, many dogs became part of the family, but Jax held a special place in his heart.
Tom is survived by his daughter Michelle (Mike) Raetz, and his son Mike (Mary) Zeimentz. He was a proud grandfather to Michael Raetz, Morgan Raetz, Joelle (Josh) and Jared (Erika) Zeiment; and great-grandpa to Nevaeh, Paisley, Brooks, Blake, Aiden, Ashton, and Avery.
The family finds comfort in knowing Tom has been reunited with the love of his life, Joyce, and with his faithful companion Jax.
Private Cremation was held.
