Richard A. Martin, 92, of Delavan, passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at home. He was born in Darien on Oct. 19, 1933, to Morgan and Emma (Schwengels) Martin. Richard was united in marriage to Patricia Robinson on Feb. 5, 1954, at Delavan United Methodist Church in Delavan. Patricia passed away on Oct. 14, 2017.

Richard worked as an electrician for many years, first at Admiral in Harvard and then GM in Janesville. He was a member of IBEW for 67 years and also was a member of the UAW. Richard enjoyed golfing and was a longtime member of Delbrook. He belonged to the ABA and was a member of the Walworth County Bowling Hall of Fame.

Richard is survived by his five children, Rick Martin of Delavan, Peggy Behrens of Delavan, Stacy Trisler of La Crosse, Trisha (Mark) Karbash, of Delavan, and David (Jessica Spelman) Martin of Dublin, Ohio; 11 grandchildren, Nick (Jen) Martin, Emma (Alex Ramirez) Behrens, Holli Behrens, Laura Behrens, twins Bree and Bryn (Justin McGuire) Trisler, Zachariah (Emily) Karbash, twins Richard Karbash and Thomas (Erica) Karbash, Tori Martin, and Tyler Martin; nine great grandchildren, Jon, Will, Grace, Zane, Luna, Micah, Elena, Maxwell, and Ezra; and a sister, Cynthia Strong.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Patricia; a grandson, Jonathan Martin; daughter-in-law Linda Martin; son-in-law, David Behrens; and two sisters, Barbara Falk and Joyce Quirk.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at Delavan United Methodist Church, 213 S. 2nd Street in Delavan. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday at the church. Burial will take place at Spring Grove Cemetery in Delavan.
