Kathy Hembrook, 74, of Delavan passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2026. She was born on Oct. 8, 1951 in Elkhorn to Fredrick and Nancy (Maynard) Runkle. Kathy was united in marriage to Edward “Mike” Hembrook on April 18, 1970.

Kathy enjoyed her daily walks, whether it was around her neighborhood, walking around Delavan Lake, or her favorite place, Starved Rock Park in Illinois. Kathy always looked forward to decorating her home for the holidays and gathering around family. She was especially known for her delicious homemade desserts such as her banana cream pie that family always looked forward to. She loved classic country music and enjoyed evenings listening to live music at the Belfry Music Theatre and Phoenix Bandshell. Kathy along with her husband, Mike, also enjoyed outings across the state with their senior travel group. In her spare time, she thoroughly enjoyed card games, especially Euchre, and ran Bingo for many years at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Delavan.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Mike of Delavan; children, Adam (Wendi) and Jared (Katy) both  of Delavan; grandchildren, Mackenzie (Jake) of Sun Prairie, Ryan (Maria) of West Allis, Jacob of Delavan, Dawson (Victoria) of Janesville, Ariana of Elkhorn, William of Fremont, Nebraska, and Garrett, Jeric, and Cody all of Delavan; great granddaughter, Evia Hembrook of West Allis; and step-grandchildren, Connor and Jordan Sitter of Janesville, and Addison Sitter of Delavan.
