Karen M. Lois, 50, of Waterford, passed away Saturday, July 4, 2026 at her home.

Born in Burlington on Nov. 12, 1975, Karen was the daughter of Stanley and Lucille (nee Martin) Lois. She spent her early life on the family farm in New Munster, before moving to Genoa City with her parents in 1985. She graduated from Lakeland School and went on to work at Vocational Industries in Elkhorn, where she eventually retired.

Karen enjoyed going out to eat, shopping, looking at pictures and listening to music. She always enjoyed and treasured her time spent with family.

Karen could always make you laugh with various things she said or did. She could also try your patience as she was a very stubborn and strong-willed person. She overcame many obstacles in her life and was a true fighter until the end. No matter what, Karen loved unconditionally.  She gave hugs and kisses freely and always said “I love you”.

Karen will be forever loved and missed by her loving mother, Lucille; brother, Timothy (Cindy) Lois; sister, Theresa Graziano; brother, Raymond (Becky) Lois; along with many nephews, a niece and great-nephews and great-nieces.  She was preceded in death by her father Stanley and brother-in-law Joseph Graziano.

A heartfelt thank you to all the caregivers at Navie Adult Home and Steven’s Hope, for their loving care and compassion.

Services for Karen will be held Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home. Relatives and friends may visit with the family from 10 until 11:30 a.m. at the Funeral Home. Burial will take place immediately following the service at St. Alphonsus Cemetery.
