Gail Pachucki, 87, of Madison and formerly of Waterford and Delavan, died June 24, 2026, at The Legacy at Noel Manor in Verona.

Gail Frances DuFour was born on Nov. 19, 1938, the daughter of Frank and Ruby DuFour. She went to school at Milwaukee Washington High School. She received a degree in English from UW-Milwaukee.

Gail was a long-time librarian in Waterford and in Lake Geneva. She enjoyed reading and turning children on to the wonderful world of books.

Gail spent decades as a dedicated member of Kiwanis International, being one of the first females to join Kiwanis in 1987 as a member of the Lake Geneva Kiwanis Club. She served as District Governor of the Wisconsin-Upper Michigan District of Kiwanis International in 2003-04. She established Key Leader, a leadership retreat weekend for high school students in 2006 and coordinated the program for ten years. She chartered the Waterford Area Kiwanis Club in 2007. Her volunteer activities stretched well beyond her deep involvement in Kiwanis. She worked tirelessly with local schools and students for BUG (Bring Up Grades) Awards, fundraising, and supporting the efforts at Camp Wawbeek in the Wisconsin Dells.

Gail was preceded in death by her son, Tony; her husband, Joe; and her sisters, Beverly Lucas and Audrey Mueller.

Gail is survived by her sons Jay (Rhonda) Pachucki of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Kevin Pachucki (Ann Langel) of Madison.; grandsons Josh (Melissa) Pachucki; Brian (Margie) Pachucki: and Travis (Crystalynn) Pachucki; and seven great-grandchildren, all of Oklahoma.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Faith Community, 305 S 1st St., Waterford, on Friday, July 24, 2026 from 9. to 10:45 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at the St. Thomas Cemetery in Waterford.

Gail was a strong supporter and fundraiser for the Wisconsin-Upper Michigan District Foundation for Kiwanis, helping to fund youth scholarships and grants. As such, memorials may be made to the WIUM Kiwanis District Foundation and sent to 571 Center St., Berlin, WI 54923.
