Becky Buehler, 45, of Burlington, passed away at Froedtert Medical Center in Milwaukee on Saturday, July 18, 2026.
Born in Burlington on Jan. 18, 1981, she was the daughter of Steve and Patti (nee Cannon) Halbach. Becky grew up in Burlington, where she played volleyball for Burlington High School before graduating with the class of 1999. She went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree from North Central College in Naperville where she continued her volleyball career. On July 29, 2005, Becky was united in marriage to Dave Buehler at St. Charles Borromeo Church in Burlington. Following marriage, they made their home in Lexington, Kentucky where she taught history at East Jessamine Middle School. In 2015, because family was the most important thing in Becky’s life, the family moved back to Burlington, where she continued teaching middle school at Paris Elementary School.
Becky was a member of St. Charles Parish in Burlington. More than anything, Becky was a truly amazing “boy mom”. Her sons were her greatest joy. She loved coaching them in volleyball and cheering them on in all their numerous sports from the stands rain or shine.
Becky is survived by her husband, Dave; sons, Joey Buehler and Tommy Buehler; parents, Steve and Patti Halbach; sister, Kim (Jacob) Armstrong along with their daughters Beth and Sammie; parents-in-law, Michael and Marie Buehler; and sister-in-law, Jen (Pat) Archer with their children, Nick (Emma) and Katie Archer. She was preceded in death by loving grandparents, an aunt, and uncle.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations go to the MACC Fund, or to Burlington High School Athletics for the boys and girls volleyball programs.
The family would like to thank the Froedtert Cancer Center CFAC 7 and 8, the 24-hour Cancer Care, as well as Dr. Thompson and his Courage Clinic Team, the Paris School staff, students, families, administration and school board for the love and support of Becky and her family through all of this; especially to her team of teachers, support staff and substitutes who made it possible to continue working which was so important to her. She loved her Paris family. Also thank you to her many friends that were there for her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Church. Please arrive by 10:15 a.m. for the eulogy. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Monday, July 27, 2026 at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home from 4 until 7 p.m.
Becky’s wish was for everyone that attends her services, to not wear all black but try to wear something colorful and bright.
