Ronald “Ron” J. Stowers, of Delavan, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, on Sunday, May 31, 2026, following a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Ron was born in Park Falls, during a deer hunting weekend, a story he fondly shared throughout his life. He made his home in Delavan, where he built a life centered on family, laughter, and lasting memories.

Ron is survived by his loving wife, Patti Tidwell-Stowers of Delavan; his sons, Jim (Missy) Stowers of Reedsburg and Sean Stowers of Delavan; and his cherished grandchildren, Searra and Cotey. He also leaves behind his niece, Misty (Jason) Young of Janesville, whom he loved as a daughter. He is further survived by his great-niece, Carly (Chris) Reachard of Beloit, and great-nephew, Camrin Bosworth of Delavan. His extended family through his wife includes Marlene Brockwell of Walworth, Lesa Brockwell of Walworth, and Steve Deschner of Darien, and their children. Ron is also survived by others he thought of as sons, Chad Zweifel and his family, and Chris Hubka and his family.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald and Audrey Stowers; and members of his extended family, Lonnie Brockwell, Steve Tidwell, and Jim Tidwell.

A visitation was held on Saturday, June 6, from 10 a.m. until Noon at Toynton Funeral Home in Walworth, with a funeral service followed at Noon. Ron proudly served in the United States Army, and military honors were conducted in recognition of his service.

Ron will be remembered for his strength, his storytelling, and the deep love he had for his family. He will be missed by many whose lives he touched with love, courage, and honor.
