Robert G. Raboine, 89, of Burlington, passed away Monday, June 1, 2026 at Pine Brook Pointe.

Born in Aurora, Illinois on May 13, 1937, Robert was the son of Royal and Mary (nee Gurbal) Raboine. His early life was spent in Illinois before moving to Kansasville at age 13 to the family farm in December of 1950. On Aug. 3, 1957, he was united in marriage to Roselyn Vogt at St. Joseph’s Parrish. Following marriage, they made their home in Kansasville and raised their six children. In 1997 they moved to Burlington.

Robert worked as a dairy farmer. He was a member of St. Mary Parish and the Knights of Columbus. He played on many baseball and softball teams, and horseshoe and bowling leagues. He was a big sports fan  and enjoyed watching local teams, whether extended family were playing or not, as well as college and professional teams from Wisconsin.

Robert is survived by his children Donald (Becky) Raboine of Kansasvill, Daniel (Vicki) Raboine of Woodman, Lisa (Bob) Sorge of Madison, and Laura (David) Ortma of Tennessee; daughter-in-law, Denise (Gary) Schyvinch of Reedsburg; son-in-law, Tom (Liselle) Soule of Florida; and grandchildren Amy Koenig, Benjamin (Nicole) Raboine, Christine (Quinn) Huettner, Mitchell (Anna) Soule, Neil (Ginger) Soule, Erin (Nick) Weber, Kelly Weber, Jennifer (Austin) Weber, Brittney Raboine, Stephanie (Mike) Henning, Philip Sorge,  Peter Sorge, and Ryan Knoke.  His great-grandchildren abound as well, including Gabriel and Naomi LeBlanc, Aubrey and Austin Koenig, Rosie and Waylon Kelly, Adeline Weber, Maggie and Gatlin Henning, and Owen and Heath Soule; and step great-grandchildren Jacelyn, Markus and Allison. He is further survived by siblings John (Julianne) Raboine, Albert (Marilyn) Raboine, and Marilyn Klingbeil; sisters-in-law, Jean and Susan Raboine; and nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends too many to name.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son David Raboine, daughter Kathleen Soule, brothers James and William Raboine, and sister Lois Raboine.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary Parish in Burlington.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Burlington.  A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, June 28, 2026 at Bob’s house from Noon until 5 p.m. A private burial will take place at a later date at St. Mary Cemetery.
