Jane W. Pegel, 92, of Lake Geneva, passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at Arbor Village Assisted Living in Lake Geneva. She was born in Elkhorn on June 28, 1933, the daughter of Dr. Clifford and Beatrice (Boughner) Wiswell.
Jane was united in marriage to Mr. Robert E. Pegel on June 14, 1955 and they spent the next 59 years happily building a life together until his passing on March 5, 2015. She and her husband were the owners and operators of Sailing Specialists Inc. in Williams Bay. Jane was a loving wife, mother and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Jane is survived by her daughter, Susan Pegel of Williams Bay.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Clifford and Beatrice Wiswell, and her husband, Robert E. Pegel.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 26, 2026 at the Delavan United Methodist Church, 213 S. 2nd Street, Delavan.
Friends may visit from 9 a.m. until the hour of service at the church in Delavan.
Memorials in Jane’s name may be directed to Geneva Lake Sailing School or Green Lake Area Animal Shelter.
