Sharon R. Barchus-Haines, 92, of Franklin, passed away Saturday, May 9, 2026 at Aurora Zilber Family Hospice.
Born in Milwaukee on Sept. 27, 1933, Sharon was the daughter of Earl and Ruth (nee Schneider) Netzband. Her early life was spent in Milwaukee and Madison. She was married to Lester Barchus Jr. He preceded her in death on Feb. 9, 2003. She was later married to William Haines. He preceded her in death on Jan. 25, 2017.
Sharon worked as an office administrator for the Elmbrook School District. She was a member of Sweet Adelines and her church choir. She was strong in her faith and music was her passion, along with cooking, traveling and playing cards. She also loved spending time with her family and friends.
Sharon is survived by her children, Brad (Dawn) Barchus, Brian (Laurie) Barchus and Bruce (Cathy) Barchus; grandchildren, Jessica (Nils) Henderson, Joshua Barchus, Andrew (Elizabeth) Barchus, Emily (Michael) Mora, Sarah (Michael) Gavigan and Zach Barchus; great-grandchildren, Aiden Henderson, Chloe Henderson, Austin Henderson, Landon Henderson, Ellie Gavigan, Lyla Gavigan and Julia Rose Martinez-Barchus; siblings, Richard Netzband and Peter (Andrea) Netzband; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; infant son Boyd Barchus; and brother Tom Netzband.
The family would like to thank St. Peter’s Church and Aurora Zilber Hospice for their care during this time.

Services for Sharon will be held Saturday, May 16, 2026 at Noon at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. Relatives and friends may visit with the family at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Private burial will take place at Wisconsin Memorial Park at a later date.
