Marvin Richard Wiesneth passed away peacefully on April 27, 2026 at the age of 91. His family was able to express love, thanks and say goodbye with recent visits.

Marv was born Sept. 15, 1934 in Cloverdale, Illinois, to his parents Guinivere (Beyer) and William Wiesneth. The family, including brother Donald and sister Sylvia, moved to Union Grove/Paris area in 1950. Marv graduated from Union Grove High School in 1952.

Marv married Dorothy (nee Epping) in 1952. They moved to Racine in 1959 where he raised his family of six children. In Racine he began his career as a machinist at Gorton Machine and J.I. Case before purchasing B&M Machine in 1972. He grew the business through the years. He sold the business and retired to Porterfield in 1989. His love of fishing also led him to create Sundown Charter Service and enjoyed taking many clients fishing on Lake Michigan.

Marv was married to Janis (nee Prim) Wiesneth in 1985. He enjoyed his retirement years in Porterfield. He loved the outdoors and spent many days hunting and fishing in the area plus many other different locations in the U.S. and abroad.

Marv will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Jan Wiesneth; his children Jack (Linda) Wiesneth, Judi (Bill) Kessler, Debi Kurz, Cindi (Gerry) Flynn, Michael (Julie) Wiesneth, and Janet (JR) Wiesneth-Sienko; grandchildren, Eric (Tricia) Wiesneth, Russell (Aimee) Wiesneth, Carrie (Heath) Siebert, Megan Foster (Taylor), Nicole (Darryl) Flynn-Klotzbach, Danielle (Fred) Altergott, Samantha Kristiansen, Chara Kessler, and Brad Kessler, and great grandchildren Lyla, Nolan, John, Tom, James, Nora, Colten, Sylis, Sydney, Landon, Charlotte, Maverick, Gianina, Kesslyn, and Mason.

Along with his parents Guinivere and William, Marv was preceded in death by his brother Donald; sister Sylvia (Frederick); and Dorothy Wiesneth, the mother of his children.

Private family services for Marvin will be held at Polnasek Daniels Funeral Home in Union Grove.
