Joseph “Joe” Robel, Jr., 88, of Wind Lake, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on April 8, 2026. He was born on Jan. 29, 1938.
Joseph was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters Margaret (Ronald) Klabunde and Anita (William) Hanson.
Joseph is survived by his loving wife, Mary Ann (nee Kramer); children, Joseph Paul (Lisa), Jo Ann (Ken) Zeleski, Edward Alan (Ruth), Brian Keith (Sherry), and Nicholas William (Sandy Jimenez); and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is further survived by his sister Millie (Lyle) Girard; and in-laws Betty (Lloyd) Jacobson, Thomas (Rhonda) Kramer and David Kramer.
For many years, Joe was a proud employee of Briggs and Stratton. After his retirement from Briggs and Stratton, he worked part time at a Wind Lake gas station usually on Senior Day. He was also a proud Marine.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on May 16 at St. Clare Catholic Church, 7616 Fritz Street, Wind Lake, from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass at 11 a.m. Private Military Honors Services will be held at a later time.
