Carol L. Golly, 82, of Elkhorn, died peacefully at The Gardens at RidgeStone in Elkhorn, surrounded by her family, on May 1, 2026.

Carol was born on Jan. 17, 1944, daughter of the late Charles and Rose (Osborne) Bransky. On April 24, 1965, she was united in marriage to Richard “Dick” Golly. Together they raised their family and created a lifetime of memories up until Dick’s passing on March 1 of this year. Carol was an avid reader and enjoyed the relaxing time she had while reading. She enjoyed baking and playing bunco while spending time at home. In earlier years, she enjoyed being on the boat, their timeshare in Florida, vacations to Hawaii, and cruises with their family and friends. She and Dick also enjoyed many summertime fish fry Fridays at Badger Bob’s, meeting new people and making new friends every summer.

Carol is preceded in death by her husband Dick, and her parents. She is survived by her children, Christine (Robert) Caliendo and Mark (Liz) Golly; grandchildren, Michael (Ashley) Caliendo, Alyssa (Grant Piske) Caliendo, Katelyn (Tommy) Taylor, Bailey Golly and John Golly; and great grandchild Sadie Taylor.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for both Carol and Dick on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 107 W. Walworth Street, Elkhorn. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of the Mass.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Carol’s name to St. Judes Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
