Shirley Ann Parsons, of East Troy, went home to be with the Lord on March 10, 2026.
Shirley was born on Sept. 21, 1934 in Elkhorn to Emil and Dorothy (Bleiler) Blaser. The family moved to Janesville in the early 1940’s where Shirley attended Austin Elementary School before graduating from Janesville High School in 1953. After high school, Shirley worked at the Parker Pen Company. In 1956, Shirley married the love of her life, Myron Parsons, and enjoyed 68 years of marriage before Myron’s passing in 2024.
Shirley and Myron made East Troy their home starting in 1958. Their family grew over the years to include four children, 17 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren. Besides homemaking, Shirley worked many years at Ray’s Shoprite in East Troy, before retiring in the early 1990’s. She enjoyed her extended family, being involved in church activities, making crafts, and rooting for local sports teams. She also enjoyed the time she was able to spend with Myron in retirement, traveling the southwest, escaping 20 winters as snowbirds in Mesa, Arizona, and making new friends along the way.
Shirley is survived by her children, Jeff (Nanda) Parsons, Tom (Doris) Parsons, Ron (Kim) Parsons, and Karen (Dave) Wutke; and her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Myron; her parents; brothers, Ray, Robert, Jerold, Howard, Glenn, Gene, and Nathan, and sisters Darlene, Delores, Loretta and Betty.
Celebration of Life Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 18 from 9:30 until 11:30 a.m. at The Venue, 2645 Main St., East Troy, WI 53120.
The family was served by Legacy Funeral Services of East Troy.
