David R. Anderson, 83, of Darien, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, April 4, 2026 at his home. He was born on May 30,1942 in Batavia, Illinois, the son of Ray and Betty (Price) Anderson.
On Oct. 24, 1964, David was united in marriage to Joanne Gasch. They spent the next 61 years happily together. David enjoyed gardening in his free time and especially spending time with his friends and family. David was employed as a union carpenter for many years and later owned and operated his own business.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
David is survived by his wife, Joanne Anderson of Darien; his daughter Kristine (Ron) Adamski of Bruce; his two grandsons, Shawn Adamski of San Francisco and Tim Adamski of Beaver Dam; his sister, Karen Klabunde of Woodstock, Illinois; as well as several special nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Betty Anderson; and his son, Michael Anderson.
Services were held on Friday, April 10, 2026 at the Toynton Funeral Home in Walworth. Interment followed at Roselawn Memory Gardens in Lake Geneva.
