Thomas F. Nugent, 89, of Delavan passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center in Elkhorn.
He was born on Sept. 13, 1936 in Skokie, Illinois, to James and Marjorie (Forshee) Nugent. Tom was united in marriage to Nancy Dennehy in 1960 in Chicago. He worked as a bond salesman for Bear Stearns in Chicago for many years. Tom was the owner of the Inn Between in Delavan from 1989 until 2000. He was a member of St. Andrews Catholic Church. Tom was an avid golfer and loved the Chicago Cubs and Bears.
Tom is survived by his wife, Nancy; a daughter, Mary (Thomas) Nugent-Benesch; two sons, Thomas (Mary) Nugent and Daniel Nugent; seven grandchildren, Alex, Jack (Lillie), Caycee, Quinn, Ana, Coree and Will; a brother, Patrick (Jenny); and many nieces and nephews.
Tom is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Carol; and brothers, Jim and Richard.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 13, 2026 at St. Andrews Catholic Church, 714 E. Walworth Avenue in Delavan. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral on Friday at the church. Private Family Burial will take place.
