Anita “Neets” Mary Breuckman, of Burlington, passed away peacefully at 88 on Dec. 23, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Anita was born on Feb. 17, 1937, to Walter and Clara (nee Zadurski) Hintz and had six sisters and one brother. She was united in marriage to Thomas Victor Breuckman on Nov. 10th, 1958. Together they had seven children and made their home in Burlington.

Neets enjoyed being out in nature. She especially enjoyed gardening and had a green thumb. She loved bird watching, and she taught her loved ones how to identify flowers and birds. What she loved most was spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and close friends. Her legacy lives on through the many lives she touched.

Anita is survived by her brother, Walter “Wally” Hintz; two daughters, Carol (Ray) Kinney and Becky (Ray) Lois; five sons, Tad Breuckman, Dan (Alaina) Breuckman, Chris Breuckman (Denise Brandes), Greg Breuckman, and Tom (Cheryl) Breuckman; grandchildren, Nathaniel Kinney, Natalia Kinney, Evan Kinney, Kylie Lois, Adam (Jessy) Lois, Eli Lois, Ian Breuckman, Zeb (Jen) Breuckman, Benjamin Breuckman, Aubrey (Dave) Thompson, Sophia Breuckman, Kathryn Breuckman and Tom Breuckman; and eight great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Clara Hintz; husband, Tom; sisters, Evelyn, Mabel, Verna, Viola, Edna, and twin sister Danetta; and her very close friend, Shirley Kanthack.

Anita will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

A celebration of life will take place on April 11, 2026 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Burlington. A Memorial Mass will start at 12:30 p.m., followed by a luncheon. After which Anita will be laid to rest in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
