Richard Aspinall, 92, of Lutheran Home Arlington Heights and formerly of Glenview, passed away Feb. 6, 2026.
Richard was the beloved husband for 61 years of the late Ethel “Kelly” Aspinall; loving father of Jeff (Sharon) Aspinall, Julie (John) Brennan and Jim (Michele) Aspinall; cherished grandfather of Rachel (John) Filippi, Jaclyn (Jeremy) Sheldon, Jack, Kelly and Dan Brennan, and Willem and Gretchen Aspinall; proud great grandfather of Matthew and Jacob Filippi, J. Kole and Easton Sheldon; dear brother of the late Gerald (late Shirley) Aspinall, and the late Dean (Jeanine) Aspinall; fond uncle to many nieces and nephews and many good friends.
Mr. Aspinall was born in Burlington to Allen and Mildred Aspinall. He received his bachelor’s degree from Milton College and his MSPhD from University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1963. He enjoyed a long career for over 30 years with GD Searle.
