Carol Jean Morrical, 86, of Stephenson, Michigan, and formerly of Waterford, passed away at home on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2026 surrounded by her family. Carol Jean Hetue was born on Nov. 2, 1939 in Oconto to Octave and Bertha (Shallow) Hetue. She married William D. Morrical on Dec. 23, 1961 in Milwaukee. Carol worked as a bank teller and manager in the banking industry for many years. She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Waterford. Carol loved collecting lighthouses and had a large collection of about 100. She collected them from Maine, Michigan and other areas throughout the country.
Carol is survived by her three daughters, Terri (Scott) Jung, Lisa (Dan) Gaudes and Nicole (Ray Otto) Morrical; grandchildren, Adam (Trista) Jung, David (Kim) Jung, Brittany (Alan) Erb, Justin Gaudes, Kim (Adam) Graf, Sarah Gaudes, Nathan Gaudes and Tanner Gaudes; great grandchildren, Charlotte, Sophia, Kaden, Caleb, Emma, Willow and Abbey; her sister Frances Morrical; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents Octave and Bertha; her husband William, a brother, and two sisters.
Visitation for Carol will be held on Thursday, Feb. 19, 2026 at Anderson Diehm Funeral Home in Stephenson, Michigan from 4:30 until 6 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2026 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Waterford from 10 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m. with Father Steve Varghese officiating. Burial will follow in Rochester Cemetery. A luncheon will follow the burial in the church fellowship hall.
