Cara Regina Rogers, 76, of Rochester and formerly of Racine, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2026 surrounded by her family.

Cara was born July 2, 1949 to the late Robert and Betty Gerber. She was a 1966 graduate of Racine Horlick High School and continued to live in Racine and work at Bucyrus-Erie for many years. On Dec. 11, 1982, Cara was united in marriage with Mark Rogers and was a devoted wife for 43 years. She was an active member of the Honey Creek Cemetery board and a proud supporter of the US troops, often providing homemade gift packages. Cara was known for her kindness and generosity and spunky attitude. She was happiest in her many gardens, researching her vast family history through genealogy, and snuggling her darling grandchildren. Cara will be deeply missed by her grandchildren, husband, daughters, and all who knew and loved her.

Cara is survived by her husband, Mark Rogers; daughters, Cortney (Brandon) Gumm and Kelly (Matthew) Ranke; grandchildren, Addison and Quinn Gumm, and Miles and Kennedy Ranke; and a host of beloved relatives and friends. Along with her parents, Cara was preceded in death by her sister, Cindy; and brother, Bob.

A Celebration of Life will be held from Noon until 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at Bruno’s Restaurant, 730 Cornerstone Crossing, Waterford
