David A. Pepper, 66, of Sharon, died Dec. 17, 2025 peacefully at home.
He was born in Elgin, Illinois, and was a 1977 graduate of Lake Zurich High School. David was known for his love of animals and his most cherished collie, Elsie. His outgoing nature resulted in many cherished friendships throughout his community.
David worked his entire adult life as a 911 police dispatcher for the Lake County, Illinois Sheriff’s Department, the Village of Barrington, Illinois, and serving the last 25 years with the City of Delavan.
David is survived by two brothers, Carl (Lynn nee Wessel) and Jimmy; his niece Jackie; nephews John and Mike Pepper; great nieces Lauren and Clara; great nephews Will, Jack and Tommy; and David’s special lifetime friend Betty Molitor.
David will be cremated and interred at Fairfield Cemetery in Lake Zurich, Illinois.
