Shirley M. Aspinall, 87, of Burlington, passed away Thursday, Nov. 27, 2025 at Oak Park Place, surrounded by her family.
Born on Dec. 26, 1937 in Burlington, she was the daughter of Donald and Alene (Enright) Miller. Shirley grew up in Honey Creek, graduating from the Rochester Ag School. On Oct. 17, 1957, she was united in marriage to Gerald “Jerry” Aspinall at Honey Creek Baptist Church. Following marriage, they made their home in Honey Creek, where they raised their family. Jerry preceded her in death on June 10, 2024.
Shirley was a member of Honey Creek Baptist Church and the Honey Creek Civic Club and retired from Foster Forbes in Burlington as a Production Clerk. She was an avid bowler, who played on leagues at Town and Country Lanes in Burlington and Jay’s Lanes in Mukwonago. Shirley loved her family and having family gatherings. Being able to cook for her family and feed everyone, was a great joy for her.
Shirley is survived by her children, Carl (Bobbi) Aspinall, Caryl (Russ) Clark, and Curt (Gena) Aspinall; grandchildren Shirley (Ian) Goetzinger, Dakota (Kora) Clark, and Ryleigh Aspinall; siblings, Barbara Miller, Jean Roeder, and Robert (Sandy) Miller; brother-in-law Richard Aspinall; and sister-in-law Janeane Aspinall. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerry; and siblings Russell, Ralph, Keith, Kent, Wayne, and Joan.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations be made to Honey Creek Baptist Church.
A funeral service for Shirley will be held at Honey Creek Baptist Church in the spring.
