Mary “Cindy” L. Cieslak, 86, of Darien, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025 at home in Darien. She was born on Oct. 11, 1939 in Statesville, North Carolina, to Duke and Mary (Stinson) Shuford. Cindy was united in marriage to Walter Cieslak. She worked at Delavan Darien High School as an administrative secretary for 33 years and also served as a secretary at Delavan UCC for many years. Cindy loved watching the Packers, Brewers, and NASCAR. She loved her family and friends very much.
Cindy is survived by her husband of 48 years, Walter; a daughter, Mary (Matthew) Barta, of Delavan; stepson, Walter (Jennifer) Cieslak, of Kentucky; and two grandchildren Madalyn and Molly.
Cindy is preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial Services will be held at Noon on Friday, Dec. 5, 2025 at Delavan UCC, 123 E. Washington Street in Delavan. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday at the church. Memorials can be directed to Delavan UCC. Monroe Funeral Home in Delavan is assisting the family.
