Marilyn A. Anderson Ahler, 90, of Lyons, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2025 at her home.

Born in Milwaukee on March 5, 1935, she was the daughter of Stanley and Eleanor (Sabinash) Prusinski. Marilyn graduated from St. Mary’s College in 1957, received her bachelor’s degree from Alverno College and her master’s degree in nursing from UW Milwaukee. She worked as a nurse at Trinity Memorial Hospital and then worked at Carroll College and Columbia College of Nursing as a Professor of Nursing.

On Sept. 28, 1957, Marilyn was married to David Anderson, and they started their family. David preceded her in death on Jan. 17, 1987. On June 30, 1990, she was united in marriage to Cletus C. Ahler in Oak Creek. Following marriage, they resided in Lyons.

Marilyn was a member of St. Joseph’s Parrish, Geneva Lake Art Association, and alumnus at St. Mary’s School of Nursing, Alverno College, and UW-Milwaukee. She was a great artist and a very talented painter.

Marilyn is survived by her children, Christopher (Grace) Anderson, Elizabeth Abrams, Ann (Ken) Lueneburg, and David (Christine) Anderson; daughters-in-law Ann Anderson and Kim Anderson; step-children, David (Lori) Ahler, Catherine (Frank) Ward, and Ruth (Bill) Neu; grandchildren, Nicholas, Stephanie, Cole, Michael, Daniel, Jennifer, Jessica, Bill, Marie, Rachael, Monica, Cynthia, Sarah, David, Amanda and Katie; step-grandchildren, Liam, Sean, Nolan, Evan, Ella, Frankie, Tony, Clay, Shelby, John, Joseph, Ben, Xavier, and Nikki; great-grandchildren, Ella, Jack, Noah, Declan, Luka, Hannah, Alexis, Connor, Nathan, Serenity, Adalina, Oliver, Carter, Lucia, Liliana, Zophia, Ayla, Mila, Emma, Lily, Joe, Ellie, Evalynn, Lucian, Addeline, Audrey, Ainsley, and Alaina; step-great grandchild Stevie; brother Carl (Judith) Prusinski; and sister-in-law Rita Prusinski. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands David Anderson and Cletus Ahler; sons Jeffrey and Gary Anderson; son-in-law Gary Abrams; granddaughter Danielle Anderson; and brother Donald Prusinski.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like to suggest that donations be made to St. Joseph’s Parrish in Lyons.

A Mass of Christian Burial took place on Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2025, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Visitation was held on Tuesday, Dec. 9 at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home. Marilyn was laid to rest on Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2025, at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Lyons.
