Phyllis A. Kutz, 87, lifelong resident of Delavan, went into the saving arms of Jesus Christ on Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2025.
Phyllis was born on Dec. 31, 1937, to the late John David and Alice (Krueger) Lyons in Town of Geneva. She graduated from Delavan Darien High School Class of 1955 where she remained in contact annually with graduating class members until the time of her passing. She worked at Oak Industries, ECM, Housing Authority and Little Learners Children’s Daycare before total retirement. She was an active member of Christian Life Church for over 35 years under Pastors Dave and Marcia Hawley, and Pastors Justin and Sarah Reese.
Those who knew her will always remember and miss a Phyllis hug and her famous saying “I’m doing supernatural, naturally through Christ of course.” Phyllis, a woman full of faith and willing to share Jesus with all, loved serving the Lord in many different ministries.
Phyllis is survived by her two daughters Jackie (Agustin) Huerta and JoAnn (Art) Delgado; grandchildren, Agustine (Fairann) Huerta with Austin and Gunnar, Jennifer (Justin) Moronez with Lukas and Sophia, Phillip (Nicole) Huerta with Axel, John (Sarah) Delgado with Lexi, Morgan, Kobe, Cadence and Faith, Veronica Delgado, Derek Delgado with Camden, and Daniel (Kaela) Delgado with Levi, Kamryn and Eastyn; and sister-in-law Ruth Ann Kurth. She is also survivied by grand-dogs and grand-cats, and grand-lizard, especially her Levi, with the Grandma Kisses. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jack Edward Matzke, son Jimmy, and aunt and uncle Elwood and Eleanor Eichman. Private interment will be at Spring Grove Cemetery with her family.
