Lawrence Alan “Larry” Taylor, 85, of Rochester, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Oct. 13, 2025. Born in Milwaukee on July 30, 1940, to Ralph and Ann (nee Melland) Taylor. Larry met his beloved Doris (nee Brinkman) on a double date with best friends. They married Oct. 17, 1964, were blessed with two daughters, and resided in Wind Lake for most of their 60 years of marriage.

Larry was a commercial construction project manager and contributed his drafting skills to the Wind Lake Fire Department and Richard Meyer Park facilities. He also served the community as Sanitary District Commissioner and loved spending time on the lake whether fishing, sailing, or patiently pulling skiers and tubers. Larry’s greatest joy was time spent with family and friends; especially when time together included frozen custard. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Larry is survived by his loving wife Doris, his daughters Lynda (Eric Hertzfeldt) Taylor and Wendy (Blake) Hunjadi; his grandchildren Megan (Gabe) LeGros, Rachel (Nick) Hunjadi, and Sam, Dan, and Erynn Hertzfeldt; and his new great-grandchildren Lauren and Milo. He is further survived by siblings Jim (Joan) Taylor and Sue (Greg) Zuchowski, and other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ronald (Sandy) Taylor.
