Frank A. Gaudes, passed away peacefully at his home on Oct. 25, 2025, in the town of Waterford. Born on May 6, 1933, in Milwaukee, Frank was 92 years old.
Growing up in Milwaukee, Frank attended Holy Rosary Grade School and graduate from Saint John’s High School. Frank’s pursuit of knowledge led him to the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE), where he honed his skills and prepared for a fulfilling career.
After graduating from MSOE, Frank was drafted into the Army, serving two years within the US and Germany. Frank embarked on a distinguished career as an electrician with A.C. Rochester-General Motors for over 30 years.
Frank was the beloved husband of the late Vivian (nee Bird), whose memory he cherished with unwavering devotion. He was a loving father to Jean (Bernard) Delimat, David (Holly) Gaudes, Dan (Lisa) Gaudes, and Jennifer (Dean Raemisch) Gaudes; grandpa to Raine, Leah, Justin, Kim, Sarah, Nathan, Tanner, and Raechel; and great-grandpa to Caleb, Emma, and Willow.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents Peter and MIldred (nee Wright) Gaudes, and grandson Danny Gaudes.
The family would like to thank the Touching Hearts at Home staff lead by Chad Sutkay, and the Hospice at Home Care team. A special thank you to Allan Ngumuya for his dedicated and exemplary care to Frank. Also, a heartfelt thank you to family friends Leslie and Jeff Bell.
A visitation will take place at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home in Burlington on Friday, Oct. 31, 2025, from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at Noon. Interment will follow in Rochester Cemetery. Dinner will be at 2:15 p.m. at Marty’s Restaurant in Waterford.
