Nate D. Sharpe, 44, passed away unexpectedly on Sept. 14, 2025, following a motorcycle accident.

Nate was born in Elkhorn and his adventurous spirit carried him to live in many places across the United States and even Guatemala. He embraced life with curiosity and courage, always chasing new experiences and forming meaningful connections wherever he went.

He is survived by his beloved 17-year-old daughter, Tehya Sharpe, who was the light of his life; his parents, Mike and Carolyn Sharpe; and his brothers, Rob (Laura) of South Africa and Randy (Lindsay) of North Carolina. He also leaves behind many loving friends and extended family. One of Nate’s greatest dreams was to travel to all 50 states with his daughter before she graduated—a reflection of the deep bond they shared.

Music was Nate’s greatest passion. Rarely without a guitar in hand, he dreamed of becoming a famous country artist. He also found joy in traveling, gold mining, and riding his motorcycle—the freedom of the open road speaking deeply to his soul.

Those who knew Nate would remember his bold spirit, his laughter, and the love he poured into his relationships. Though his time was cut short, the memories he created will live on forever in the hearts of those who loved him.

A service to celebrate Nate’s life will be held on Saturday, Sept. 27, 2025, from 2 until 5 p.m. at The River Church, 910 E. Geneva St., Delavan. The family invites everyone to wear green. You can dress it up or down, whatever feels right. All who knew and loved him are welcome to attend and honor his memory.
