John M. Zedler, 69, of Elkhorn, passed away on Friday, Sept. 12, 2025, at home surrounded by his loving family.

John was born on June 2, 1956, in Racine, the son of the late Eugene and Grace (Delmater) Zedler. He was united in marriage to his loving wife, Marsha Barry, in December of 2024. They had been together for many years prior to getting married. They built a beautiful life together. During his early life, John graduated from UW Madison with his degree in accounting and received his CPA. He was also in a band called “Fresh Lettuce”. John enjoyed many of the simple, yet beautiful things life had to offer. He enjoyed watching sports, specifically the Green Bay Packers, listening to music, going to Bruce Springsteen concerts, maintaining his flowers and yard and most of all, spending time with his grandkids and family. He will be deeply missed.

John is survived by his loving wife, Marsha; stepchildren, Michael (Kim) Barry and Melissa Barry; sisters, Ellen (John) Beere and Jane (Todd) Linstroth; grandchildren, Jake Sensabaugh, Josie Sensabaugh and Chelsea Barry; and nieces and nephews, Joey, Matt, Abby, Katie, Krista, Kassie and Kyle.

John is preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Grace Zedler.

A time of remembrance will take place on Sunday, Sept. 28, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. at the Haase-Lockwood and Associates Funeral Home, 730 N Wisconsin St., Elkhorn. A visitation will take place from Noon until the time of remembrance at the funeral home.
