Angelina “Angel” Principato, 49, of Twin Lakes, passed away on Monday, Sept. 22, 2025. She was born on July 23, 1976, in Illinois, the daughter of the late Joyce Messer. During her life, she spent many years bartending and made many lifelong friends along the way. She earned her associate’s degree in interior design and became a successful sales manager at Ashley’s Furniture Homestore, while also running her own Interior Design business. She loved going to concerts and traveling, along with spending any beautiful day riding her Harley. More than anything she loved spending time with her family. She was a great mother and grandmother, who loved her daughters and grandkids more than anything. She always put her family first and above anything else. She was “Mimi” and will always be remembered for the love and dedication she had for her friends and family.
Angel made a huge impact on the lives of those she loved. Anyone who knew her, knows she was known for her quick-witted ways, but also how she loved with every ounce of her being. She would tell you like it is, whether you wanted to hear it or not. Angel was well known for her love of entertaining friends and family, and that if you came to a gathering of hers, you best come hungry as she only knew how to cook for an army. She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.
Angelina is survived by her children; Ashley (Tyler) and Cassie (Dalia); grandchild, Tucker and grandchild on the way, Trevor; the father of her girls, Jeremy; and her loving boyfriend, Jason.
Angelina is preceded in death by her parents.
